We provide free tutoring in science and math throughout the middle and high school years.
We incorporate programs to promote healthy living strategies and increase physical activity to prevent diseases.
At Nursing CAP, Inc. we are dedicated to introducing minority students, first generation college students and economically disadvantaged students to the fields of nursing, science, technology, engineering and healthcare careers through mentoring and tutoring, creating partnerships with community healthcare centers, promoting healthy and active living and promoting an atmosphere of comprehensive development.
Career Development
Nursing CAP, Inc. is devoted to implementing programs that help our participants embark on careers in nursing, healthcare, and STEM. We believe setting career goals and knowing how to achieve them is vital to success. We seek to provide participants with the tools they need to explore different career paths and connect them with relatable professionals who inspire and serve as role models in the community.
The second hour of the program is devoted to educating participants on developing their own career goals. The students participate in presentations by various professionals who give their expertise, guidance, and encouragement. Our speakers volunteer their time to engage with our students on their education, achievements, and their paths along their career journey. Our career development service serves to help our students think about various career paths and imparts them with the knowledge they can use as they think about the types of careers they wish to seek in the future.
