MENTORING TODAY FOR THE CAREERS OF TOMORROW

Nursing Cap, inc Tutoring

Nursing CAP, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization. Your donations are tax-deductible.

The Nursing CAP Program introduces the middle and high school students to healthy and active living strategies by presenting and distributing health promotion and disease prevention topics to the students monthly. The health promotion and disease prevention information is taken home to educate the students, parents and extended families. The students can educate their families and impart life-long skills for healthy and active living for generations to come.

We believe that if you can educate children to become informed citizens about healthy living including physical activity and proper nutrition, this may lead them to develop into healthy adults and encourage them to continue to make healthy choices over their lifespan. We are providing interventions to prevent childhood obesity and obesity-related complications.

We have discussed the following health promotion and disease prevention topics: heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, sickle cell disease, breast cancer, glaucoma, nutrition and physical fitness.
